UniFi & Ubiquiti Installation in New Jersey

Ubiquiti UniFi networks designed, wired and configured — access points placed for the building, managed switching with PoE, and a controller you actually own.

What we do

A UniFi network is only as good as where the access points go.

Most UniFi disappointment is not the hardware. It is three access points in the wrong places, powered off a switch with no PoE budget left, on a controller nobody has the password to. We plan placement against the floor plan and the wall construction, run a cable to every access point, and hand the network back documented.

Wi-Fi that covers the whole building

Access points placed for the floor plan and wired back to the switch, not daisy-chained off each other. One SSID that hands devices over cleanly as you walk, instead of a phone clinging to a bar and a half from the basement.

Switching, PoE and the rack

Managed UniFi switches sized to the drop count, PoE powering the access points and cameras so there is no wall wart behind a ceiling tile, and everything labeled at both ends and documented before we leave.

Protect cameras and Access doors

UniFi Protect cameras recording locally with no monthly fee, and UniFi Access for door readers, all in the same console as the network. One app for the building rather than four.

Takeover of an existing UniFi setup

Plenty of our UniFi work is inheriting somebody else’s. We adopt the gear into a controller you own, fix the VLANs and channel plan, update firmware in the right order, and hand back the logins.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do I need a Cloud Key, a Dream Machine, or can it be self-hosted?

Any of the three works. For most homes and small offices a UniFi gateway is the simplest — routing, controller and switching in one box. Larger sites or anyone who wants the controller off-site can self-host. We will tell you which fits and why, and you own whichever we install.

How many access points does a house or office actually need?

Roughly one per 1,200 to 1,800 square feet, more where there is plaster, brick, concrete or block. Square footage alone is a poor guide — construction and layout matter more. That is what the walkthrough is for.

Can you take over a UniFi system somebody else installed?

Yes, and it is a common job. We adopt the devices into a controller you own, correct the VLANs and channel plan, bring firmware up to date in the right order, label what was never labeled, and hand you the logins.

Is UniFi overkill for a house?

Not if the house is fighting you. If a consumer router and a mesh kit already cover everything, keep them. Where UniFi earns its place is plaster walls, three floors, outbuildings, thirty-plus devices, or anyone working from home on video calls that cannot drop.
